アメリカの先住民族の1つであるチェロキー族出身の人々が言われて嫌なこと。それは「私にもチェロキーの血が混じっているわ！」という言葉である。人種のるつぼと言われるアメリカだが、実は先住民族の気持ちを全く理解できていないのだ。そんな問題を2人のデートでポップに描いた作品。

For people of Cherokee descent, one of the most unwelcome things to hear is the throwaway line, “I have Cherokee blood in me too!” America may be called a melting pot, but its native peoples are too often spoken about without ever being truly heard. Set across a single date between two strangers, this film draws out that quiet ache — playfully, but pointedly.
